The ABT4505 Data-logging Switch Geometry Gauge provides regular track geometry measurement data, but additionally, has been pre-programmed with seven complete switch and crossing measurement regimes. The operator is guided through a sequence of measurement steps [via the display] which allows the accurate repeatability of results from survey to survey, alleviating the need for the usual paper forms and track-side note-taking. The composite/stainless steel construction makes the tool extremely robust while the precision linear sensor allows for a broad measurement range. Description The lightweight easy to use track tool has both data-logging and direct reading functions, with real-time geometry calculation and display. The control box, which has enough memory to record over 1300 locations, may also be used independently as an inclinometer. The built-in battery lasts for 10 hours and the tool is supplied with an intelligent fast-charger. The control box slides with the rail probe for convenience. A self-zeroing routine ensures that the inclinometer is always to the highest accuracy. PC Software The PC software allows the export of tabulated data to disk, printer, text and MS Excel spreadsheet and includes an interactive help file and glossary. The user may configure the information fields to suit local records and choose the level of information to be displayed. The PC software is able to save the data into a tamper-proof file and also displays the exact time and date of the survey. |
